HELP OUT OUR DRUMMER KARL!

Our drummer Karl had his duffle-bag stolen today in New Mexico and lost everything. To help him out we have made our new record, Life Goes On, pay what you want on band camp and everything we make from it will go straight back to Karl getting back some of what he lost. Anything can help so please donate what you can!

Casting Call - I’ll Keep My Heart (Official Music Video)

Today is the day! Who is coming out to be a part of the video?!

Today is the day! Who is coming out to be a part of the video?!

bouttogetfruitpunchedhomie:

We spent so much time drawing a fine line
Between progress and walking backwards
What have I learned here?
Nothing could be clear
When knowledge won’t come from the source
It won’t be too long before I’m long gone
From this place that’s known me so well
It won’t be too long before I’m long gone
From this place that’s known me so well
So well

These past four years I’ve spent
Wasting away from what I’m meant to be
I’ll never get that back
No, I’ll never get that back
I’ll never get that back
No, I’ll never get that back

Want to be in our music video?

If you do, May 12th is the day to make that happen!

That day we are playing a new venue called The Cave @ RVP in West Haven, CT and our entire set is being filmed. This is going to be our last CT show for a really long time so if you want to see us before the summer be sure to make it out to this.

We are shooting a video for our song “I’ll Keep My Heart” from our new record Life Goes On so listen to it like crazy, come out to the show, and go buck wild and you can watch cool clips of yourself in our music video!

The show is $8 if you get tickets in advance from any of the bands playing or $10 at the door.

Doors open at 6.

Hope to see you there!

PropertyOfZack Review : : Casting Call

propertyofzack:

If you’re at all familiar with the recent resurgence of pop-punk, you might too be aware of Connecticut’s propitious five-piece Casting Call. Not unlike their peers, the New Haven quintet play their own brand of spirited, boisterous pop-punk, a formula only further established and cemented on their new EP, Life Goes On.

The five-track offering operates primarily on a what you see is what you get basis; the band are hardly treading exotic territory within the genre, but rest assured, Life Goes On is executed with pinpoint precision. “Time To Go” opens the assault, clocking in at just over a minute. Complete with driving guitar riffs, pulsating drums, and a raucous gang vocals (an inclusion almost commonplace in pop-punk), the opener serves up a healthy dose of what the remainder of the EP has to offer.

Following the prelude are the record’s two most aggressive tracks, “I’ll Keep My Heart” and “These Past Four Years,” a pair of tenacious anthems on which crunchy guitars compliment vocalist Matthew LaPerche’s hardy vocals. In the latter of the two, LaPerche proclaims “We’ve spent so much time drawing a fine line between progress and walking backwards,” a theme all too familiar to young adults, and one that soundly resonates throughout the middle portion of the record.
